To Be Single, or Not to Be Single

We’ve all been there: the perpetual struggle of whether or not to stay single while in Greek Life. Let’s be honest, there are some really attractive guys in fraternities, and sometimes you just don’t think it would be fair to the world to take yourself off of the market! Being single has its perks!

Not To Be Single

Not having to constantly care about what you’re doing, getting to meet a bunch of guys, the fun that comes with flirting at parties with someone you just met, more time to hang out with your sisters, and the freedom to do basically whatever. But there is always that nagging idea of, “What would it be like if I had a boyfriend?” Now if you’re just out of a relationship and want to have fun, more power to you! But for the girls who have been single for a while, sometimes it sucks to see your friends coupled up, while you just have your pint of ice cream and Ryan Gosling movies.

Not To Be Single

Whether we like to admit it or not, girls LOVE having boyfriends. I know plenty of girls who cannot stay single for a period over a month! Because, honestly, being single for some girls just isn’t as fun as being in a relationship. Think about it, while being single you have to fight for someone else’s attention against many girls, worry about whether or not you’ll have a dance partner at parties, you don’t have someone you can kiss anytime you want (Sweet Home Alabama reference <3), facing that rejection when you send a risky drunk text, and lastly sometimes its nice to have a guy constantly tell you you’re pretty.

Not To Be Single

Don’t get me wrong! Being single was some of the most fun I have had in my college experience! Going out and being able to meet new guys was a blast! But sometimes one guy will come around, and you’ll start caring about what you do, and how you look around him. You’ll hang around places, and go out more just to see if he’s there. Sometimes when you’re single you get caught up on someone and if you’re lucky they’ll get caught up on you, and you’ll realize that being single was worth it just to lead up to him.
